If you are reading this, then Become Fluent In English has continued beyond the stage where it existed only as an idea.
Whether you are reading this five years from now or fifty, I hope the company has continued to grow without losing sight of why it was created.
This organisation was never intended to become another English language school. It was never built simply to sell lessons, courses or certificates.
Throughout my own journey, I met countless learners who had spent years studying English. Many understood grammar well enough to pass examinations, yet lacked the confidence to speak naturally in everyday conversations or professional environments.
They did not need more information. They needed guidance, encouragement, meaningful practice and someone who believed they could become confident communicators.
That belief became the foundation of Become Fluent In English.
If you inherit responsibility for this company in the future, remember that our students are not purchasing vocabulary lists or grammar explanations.
Many will arrive carrying frustration, anxiety or self-doubt. Some will have spent years believing they are "bad at English". Others may be preparing for career opportunities that could change their lives and the lives of their families.
Never underestimate the responsibility that comes with that trust.
Every decision you make should improve the experience of the people we serve. Whenever financial considerations compete with educational quality, remember that our reputation has always been our greatest asset.
Trust cannot.
You will inevitably face opportunities that promise rapid growth. Some will appear attractive. Some may even be profitable. Not all of them will be right for Become Fluent In English.
If an opportunity weakens the student experience, damages our reputation or distracts us from our purpose, have the courage to decline it.
Success should never be measured solely by the number of students we teach. Instead, measure success by the confidence we build, the opportunities we create and the relationships we develop.
- Remain curious.
- Continue learning.
- Question assumptions.
- Improve systems.
- Adopt new technologies when they genuinely benefit students.
- Never embrace change simply because it is fashionable.
Technology will evolve. Educational trends will change. Artificial intelligence will continue to reshape how people learn.
If you preserve those qualities, Become Fluent In English will continue to remain relevant regardless of how education changes.
Finally, remember that every student who chooses us has alternatives. They could study elsewhere. They could choose a cheaper provider. They could decide not to learn at all.
- Treat every learner with patience.
- Treat every colleague with respect.
- Treat every partner with professionalism.
- Protect the reputation of this organisation as though it were your own.
If you do that, I believe Become Fluent In English will continue to improve lives long after my own involvement has ended.
