What started as helping one student communicate with confidence has grown into something far bigger.
I'm Wez, British-born, Philippines-based, and founder of BFIE. After years of teaching thousands of learners from across the globe, I built this platform around one belief: English shouldn't be taught through memorisation. It should be felt through real conversation.
Today, BFIE is a growing community of learners, teachers, and content creators united by one goal. To help people speak naturally, communicate confidently, and create opportunities through English.

The flagship BFIE experience. Join Wez in Cebu, Philippines for two weeks of intensive English immersion, with the freedom to choose what suits you. Week 1 focuses on everyday conversational English, building real confidence in real situations. Yes — BFIE welcomes learners of all ages. We have teachers who specialise in children and young learners, as well as teachers focused on adult and professional learners.
All BFIE lessons are live, one-to-one sessions. Your teacher's full attention is on you — your goals, your level, and your progress.
Absolutely. Complete beginners are very welcome. If you're unsure of your level, take our free English Level Test first.

Yes. Several of our teachers offer IELTS preparation as a specialist focus area. Let your teacher know your exam goals and they will structure lessons accordingly.
